15 Nov Meet the Trainer: Louise Cochrane
You want to start training at the gym but you don’t know where to start, maybe you’ve been training for a while but aren’t seeing any changes, even though you’ve been trying or maybe you want to eat more healthily, lose body fat and generally feel better about yourself, but you don’t want to be ‘on a diet’ or resort to extremes. You need someone to help you make changes and get results – this is exactly what I do!
I’m Louise Cochrane and my passion is helping focused people achieve their health and fitness goals, through personal training and good nutritional guidance. I moved from Northern Ireland to Glasgow in 2006 for university and worked as an engineer for four years and it was during that time that I discovered my love of training.
After university I had fallen away from exercise and as a result put on quite a bit of weight. Two years or so of this and my body confidence and fitness were rock bottom and I decided it was time for a change. I joined a gym, hired a personal trainer and started to transform my body, which lead to huge changes in my mind-set as well.
I loved how I felt – so much so, that I decided I wanted to help others to feel the same, which is why I studied for my fitness qualifications and launched my business, Louise Cochrane Fitness.
Through my personal training expertise, I work with my clients to develop individualised training programmes and nutrition plans, based on their own personal goals. My guidance is practical and actionable, so with some hard work and focus, my clients can make everyday changes to their lifestyle and actually enjoy the process.
In October 2016 I competed at the UKDFBA British Finals in bikini class having received second place and an invitation during the Scottish qualifier earlier in the year. In a tough line up of 15 athletes, I was awarded 5th place, placing me in the top five bikini athletes in the UK.
If you’d like to find out more about how to make healthy changes to your lifestyle that are realistic, achievable and maintainable, drop me a line. Whether you ready to knuckle down for a complete overhaul or if you’d just like some support and guidance, I’d love to help.
