11 Apr How to stay in a routine during lockdown.
I think it’s safe to say that this is the strangest experience we’ll ever go through in our lifetime.
I don’t think I’m the only one who’s found it difficult to stay in a routine with how life has changed recently.
These are some things I’ve started to do to get me back on track.
Set an alarm ⏰
It’s so easy to stay up later at night and sleep a bit longer the next day. I’ve done it a few times now and it’s started to take its toll on my mood. I end up not getting as much done as I’d like to during the day (I recently moved into my new flat and have loads of work to do). My sleep quality hasn’t been the best so I’ve started setting an alarm again to get me up earlier 😴
Keep yourself busy
If you’re working from home then you’ll be working your normal hours and probably more. If you’re unable to though it’s good to find something to do to keep you busy.
Why not get some gardening done when the weather is good? Or do the DIY you’ve been putting off for ages now that you have the time? Deep clean the house?
Or why not learn or study something new? 🤓
Get your workouts done 🏋️♀️🏋️♂️
I miss the gym ☹ I miss going to work every day. Not having access too all the weights I want isn’t ideal but it’s not stopping me getting my workouts in. My workouts have been a bit sporadic recently though so from now on I’m making sure I train on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Then I’ll add in a run again for my daily exercise allowance.
