15 Jan De-stress during lockdown
Lockdown isn’t easy for anyone. I don’t think any of us are enjoying it especially after almost a year of restrictions 😭
It’s a really stressful time and it’s affected us all differently. We can’t control what’s happening but we can try to control how we let it all affect us.
We can sit and let all the stress bottle up and drag our mood down or we can do something about it 💪
Here are 3 ways that I’ve found useful for de-stressing.
First up, obviously I need to give exercise a mention 😇. The endorphins/feel good chemicals etc help to boost your mood and allow you to feel less stressed overall. This works best if you stick to an exercise routine consistently. Have a look at our class timetable on your fitsense app to help you stay on track! You can book into classes that we’ve pre-recorded 😁 even if you can’t do them at the scheduled time, they’ll be in your own archive on the app so you can do them later 😊
Go for a walk🚶♂️
Yes, it’s baltic outside 🥶 but don’t let that stop you going out. We’re still allowed out for a walk so get wrapped up and get out. It helps clear your head and you’ll feel much better for it 😄
I’ve recently been more consistent with yoga and have felt loads of benefits. Improving flexibility is the obvious and really important, but I always feel more chilled and relaxed afterwards. I’m still useless at it but it takes time I suppose 🤷♀️😂 Yoga With Adriene on YouTube is a good place to start 😉
